CORNHOLE RULES
1. The tournament will be played with 2 person teams.
2. The tournment will be run in double elimination format.
3. The team to throw first will be determined by coin toss.
4. The game will be played until one team reaches 21 or over and is at least 2 points ahead of the other team. (Example: if the score at the end of a round is 21 to 19 ~ then the team with 21 is the winner - If the score is 21 to 20, then play will continue until one team can pull 2 points ahead at the end of a round).
5. Scoring:
1 POINT for any bag on the board as long as it is not touching the ground (leaning but not touching the ground will be scored).
3 POINTS for any bag that is thrown through the hole (even if that bag was knocked through by the player or opponent).
The final score for a single round will be the score from team with the lower score subtracted from the score of the team with the higher score. (Team A scores 6 and Team B scores 4, final Team A receives 2 points).
6. The team that scores will throw first in the next round. If teams tie, then the team that threw first the previous round will throw first again.
7. Players feet must remain behind the front of the boards when throwing.
8. Players will remain on the same side of the court for the duration of a particular game. The players alternate which side of the board that they throw from each round. If a player threw from the right hand side of the board last round, then they will throw for the left hand side of the board on the next round.
9. Any bag that hits the ground previous to landing on the board
will be disqualified and removed from the board for this
round and the board will be restored as best as possible to
the configuration prior to the bounced bag arriving.
10. At no time may a player stand on the boards for any reason.
