It's Chili Time again!!! Join GBPHC for the annual Bayou Bubba Chili Cook-Off and Rum Challenge. It's a fundraiser benefitting local animal rescue shelters and low-cost veterinary care. A "Meet-up" Topless Jeep/Convertible/Rag-top area will be onsite. Bring your special vehicle and show it off while enjoying the Cookoff festivities.
Can't make it to the Cookoff but want to help GBPHC help the animals? Click Register and choose the Donation option at the bottom of the Ticket Type. For the Head Cook section, just put your name and "Donation only".
Register on this page to participate in the Chili and/or Rum competition. All registrations will be online through the website this year AND MUST BE COMPLETED WITH PAYMENT BY MARCH 11, 2026. All are welcome to attend and may purchase a $10 (cash) wristband and cup for tasting AT THE DOOR. Chili Teams should arrive at 8 am, and the event opens to the public at 11 am.
Each Chili TEAM will receive 4 wristbands max and each Rum entry participant will receive 1 wristband max for Tasting included in the registration. Every wristband comes with one ticket to vote for People's Choice Chili.
There are two categories: Chili and Rum w/two types of judging: drinks/pudding/ Jell-O shots and cakes/desserts. The cost is $31.50 to enter Chili, $16.00 to enter the Rum Challenge, or you can enter BOTH for $42.00. Additional chili or rum entries may be purchased by the same Team or participant. Any additional entries must be paid for individually.

Open to the public at 11:00 am.
Beer and wine must be purchased upstairs in the Legion Hall. Mixers should be purchased onsite if you choose to BYOB for alcohol. (Please tip the bartenders.) The America Legion allows us to use their facility free-of-charge as a service to the community and to aid in our efforts.
